What is LuPresence?

LuPresence is a stylish button that hides a motion sensor with built-in presence, light intensity, and temperature sensors. What’s more, you can power it in two ways: using a battery or a constant energy source – it all depends on your preferences.

Presence sensor

LuPresence’s integrated element is a presence sensor. We’ve implemented an unusual solution in it – sound detection. The sensitivity of the detector can be easily and conveniently adjusted. Thanks to the built-in battery, the sensor operates completely wirelessly – forget about tangled wires.

Motion sensor

The motion sensor in LuPresence excellently completes the sound-based presence detection. You can program the motion sensor’s detection hold time independently. This solution enhances the data collected and transmitted by the sensor, further supporting the operation of other devices.

Replaceable frame

The frames in LuPresence are made of plastic or anodized aluminum. They are interchangeable – in just 30 seconds, you can completely change the appearance of your device by choosing a different frame color, for example.

Connection ports

LuPresence is available in two versions – a wall-mounted model and a mobile version. In the mobile version, you’ll find an additional glass panel on the rear of the housing, which perfectly conceals the connectors.

Works with Apple Home

luonOS is a closed system, but it is fully integrated with Apple Home, and in the nearest future, it will be integrated with Matter as well. This allows the LuBase central unit to offer incredible configurational flexibility and the ability to tailor it to your own needs and expectations.

Motion sensor

LuPresence is a motion sensor and a presence sensor combined into one device. Both sensors work seamlessly together, allowing for greater personalization.

Presence sensor

Monitor presence based on the built-in sound sensor, which detects even subtle signals such as keyboard typing or a turned-on television.

Light intensity sensor

The brightness sensor continuously analyzes the light intensity in the room and can autonomously turn on the lighting when necessary. This is a great way to save energy.

Temperature sensor

Monitor the temperature in your home and access historical data in the LuHome app. You can also use the sensor data to manage the other devices.

Touch sensor

LuPresence has 4 built-in touch sensors that can replace traditional light switches. The sensors can be programmed in up to 12 ways.

Buzzer

The device features a built-in buzzer that, upon activation of the touch sensor, emits short sounds. This informs the user of the correct use of the button.

What is a service?

Service is a task performed by a device. Example: LuPresence is a device, and controlling the lighting is one of the services it offers.

LuAiR & LuLiNE communication

LuAir is a wireless communication method used in luonOS, based on ESP-NOW technology. LuLine is a fast wired communication technology based on the CAN bus, commonly used in aviation, automotive, and even space industry. LuPresence can use both of those methods.

Signal relay

All LuON devices connected to a constant power source transmit the LuAiR signal to other devices within their range.

Flexible configuration

The flexible device software and the luonOS system allow for freely configuring LuPresence settings.

Any room

In LuPresence, you can assign each service to a selected room. Most competitive devices do not offer such an option.

Direct communication

LuPresence allows for direct communication with other devices designed by LuON, completely bypassing the LuBase central unit. This means that devices can communicate with each other even in the event of a router or accessory center failure.

Logs backup

Events from all services in LuPresence are recorded as logs and stored directly in the LuBase central unit for up to 5 years.

Device update

Devices update automatically when they are rarely used. You can also use the manual update option – individually for each device or all at once.

Additional features

Motion memory

You can independently set the time for storing presence detection in the motion sensor. This allows for more effective control of other devices based on readings from the sensor.

Motion detection below given light intensity

The sensor can be configured not to react to motion above a specified brightness level (e.g., not trigger the lights), eliminating the need to create complex automations.

Additional luminosity probing

The brightness sensor can perform an additional light intensity measurement immediately after motion detection. This allows it to respond accurately to changes in conditions.

Min and max sound treshold

In the presence sensor, you can independently set the minimum and maximum noise levels at which presence detection occurs. We offer great flexibility in configuring these parameters.

Temperature readings correction

The temperature sensor allows for measurement correction in case the sensor is placed in an atypical location (e.g., near a radiator or window), ensuring the accuracy of readings.

Presence memory

The presence sensor allows for adjusting the presence retention time. This enables more precise support for the operation of other devices, such as keeping the lights on for the desired duration.

Programmable buttons

LuPresence can be used as a programmable button that supports single and double clicks, as well as long presses – a total of up to 12 different functions.
