How did it all begin?
In the beginning, there was… dissatisfaction. As experts in smart home systems, we tested many solutions and services from various manufacturers. They all had one thing in common – they were imperfect and didn’t meet our expectations. The devices were unreliable, difficult to operate, and offered only basic functions. We knew that both installers and users deserved something much better. Thanks to the shortcomings in the solutions of other manufacturers, we knew what we wanted to avoid and what we wanted to change. Maximum capabilities, protection of private data, and the simplest operation possible – these were our priorities.
We secretly worked on the LuON project for 4 years. In 2022, we attracted investors who believed in its success, and we could enter the implementation phase. Today, we offer devices and a system unlike anything present on the market before. While the products of our competitors have changed little, we have taken a few good steps forward… into the future of smart homes!

What matters for us?
- A complete system – in a few years, we aim to have all the essential smart home devices in our offering, allowing full home automation. The next stage will involve creating devices for DIN rail cabinets.
- For everyone – luonOS is designed to be easily manageable by beginners. Advanced installers won’t be disappointed either – we offer many options that were lacking in other systems.
- Simple automations – no coding, unnecessary visualizers, or complicated interfaces. You can change settings with just a single switch in the app – that’s all it takes to enjoy a smart home.
- Security and privacy – we designed the system not to request any personal data from users during login and device usage. We also don’t rely on external servers – everything valuable stays in your home.
- Reliable, maintenance-free operation – we help you avoid the frustration of frequent failures. It was important to us that once configured, the system always works flawlessly.
- Future-proof – luonOS is already prepared for the adoption of the Matter standard.
People behind it all
The LuON project is not anonymous. We sign it with our own names. The creators of the system are Dawid Olczak, Emil Borusławski, and Jaromir Kopp – enthusiasts of building automation and “devotees” of Apple. We have been involved in the smart home industry for years, and those who are interested in this topic surely know us well: from articles in industry portals, from the podcasts we host, or from one of the largest Apple Home user groups in Europe. Some of you may have even attended our training sessions for installers – we have demonstrated advanced HomeKit capabilities multiple times. We prepared for creating our own smart home system over many years, and we can confidently say that we realized this vision at the right moment.
Our project would probably have remained just a plan forever if it weren’t for the support of the team. Initially, several specialists were involved in the work. Today, the LuON team consists of several dozen people: programmers, designers, and salespeople. Together, we ensure that the luonOS system meets users’ needs, is simple and functional, and at the same time offers many advanced capabilities. We are delighted that we can share it with you now!
